District Judge
recertified
Magisterial District Judge Todd Woodin has again been certified for service as a member of the Pennsylvania Judiciary after successfully completing continuing legal education course work. The 32-hour instructional program is designed to keep MDJs current in a variety of legal topics and management techniques necessary to efficiently and fairly adjudicate cases and supervise a magisterial district court office. Continuing education course work is required by statute for each of the more than 500 Pennsylvania MDJs to complete annually.
Beacon Light
receives trauma
redesignation
The Behavioral Health Alliance of Rural Pennsylvania (BHARP) and Community Care Behavioral Health (CCBH )have announced Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems has once again achieved trauma certification following their participation in the North Central Trauma Informed Care Initiative, or TICC. This recertification ensures that their Warren location will remain a trauma informed care center. A recognition ceremony will be held at 11:15 a.m on Friday, March 24, at the Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems offices located at 1885 Market Street in Warren.
Relief Zone to host annual golf
tournament
FREWSBURG — The Relief Zone will be hosting its annual golf tournament Saturday, May 13, at Blueberry Hill Golf Course in Russell, Pa. Interested participants can register online at www.thereliefzone.org or can call The Relief Zone at 716-569-2614. The cost is $300 per four-person team with prizes for first and second place teams. Divisions include men’s, women’s and mixed with at least two men and two women. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Golfers will tee off at 9 a.m. Donuts, coffee and fruit provided at registration with hot dogs at the turn, and a chicken barbecue dinner following the event.
