Regional Society to hold photography exhibition at Crary

A new exhibition at the Crary Art Gallery will highlight photographers from throughout the region.

“The World as We See It” featuring the members of the Photographic Arts Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania will open Dec. 3 and run through Jan. 15.

The opening reception is Dec. 3 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“The photographs in the exhibition range from panoramic landscapes to richly toned nature and wildlife images, as well as monochrome and macro photography and striking impressionistic and abstract photographs,” according to a statement from the Crary.

Participating Society artists include

Ellen Anon, Jack Anon, Alex Cohen, Candy Felege, Frederick Fiedler, Christine French, Ricardo Gilson, Darla Graff, Melinda Isachsen, Dorothy Kloss, Patti Larson, John Misterovich, Patty Raydo, Robert Raydo, Rebecca Samler, Monica Schwegman, Anna Marie Senita, James Steadman, Liam Vitanyii, Kathy A. Welte and Gregory Zbach.

“The organizers encourage the public to attend the opening reception for light refreshments while they browse the artwork of these talented photographers, many of whom will be in attendance to discuss how they achieve their visions for their photography,” according to the statement.

The museum is closed for the weekends around the holidays from Dec. 23 to Jan. 1. Regular hours are Friday and Saturday noon to 6 p.m. and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Visitors can also email crarygallery@gmail.com to make an appointment to view the exhibition “most anytime.” Admission is free.
