“Field to Forest” workshop to be held in Warren County

YOUNGSVILLE — On Saturday, Oct. 1, farmers and forest landowners across northwestern Pennsylvania are invited to attend a ‘Field to Forest Workshop’ at 3349 Murray Hill Road, Youngsville.

Hosted by the Warren County Conservation District and the PA DCNR Bureau of Forestry the event features speakers from the Stroud Water Research Center, Pennsylvania Game Commission, Generations Forestry, USDA Forest Service — Allegheny National Forest, and Ernst Conservation Seeds. The workshop begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m. and will be held rain or shine. Attendees will have the opportunity to choose up to four sessions out of the following topics: Soil Health, Cover Crops & No-Till; Strategies to Improve Degraded Forests; Wildlife Enhancement for Your Woods; Timber Sales — Start to Finish; Access Road Improvements & Maintenance; Backyard Maple Syrup Production and Native Meadows & Pollinator Habitat Establishment.

Pre-registration is required and is payable to the Warren County Conservation District. The registration fee includes lunch.
