Audubon Second Photography Class Wednesday, September 21

Different lenses and camera settings make all the difference in the end result when taking photos.

With that in mind, Warren, Pa., photographer Phil Gilbert is presenting a photography class on “Camera Basics and Putting It All Together” on Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Audubon Community Nature Center.

Those taking the class will learn about different lenses and what they do, experiment with some macrophotography, and then put it together with shutter speed, aperture, ISO to learn how to compose beautiful photographs. And when the end result isn’t just right, there will also be instruction in editing techniques in Lightroom to create the final product.

The course is a follow-up to the photography class “Camera Basics,” but taking the earlier class is not necessary for participation in this one.

Gilbert founded JP Photography in 2012. A member of the Warren City Council and chair of the Warren County Redevelopment Authority, Gilbert is president of Warren Area Student Union, the Tax Claim Association for the State of Pennsylvania and Innovault Cowork, of which he was also co-founder.

The class costs $32, $24 for Nature Center members. Paid reservations, required by Sunday, Sept. 18, can be made by calling 716-569-2345 or through “Programs and Events” at AudubonCNC.org.
