Wild Wind Folk Art & Craft Festival Celebrates the Tradition of Artistic Excellence

PITTSFIELD — The Wild Wind Folk Art & Craft Festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 10, and Sunday, Sept. 11, at the Warren County Fairgrounds, 371 Barton Run Road, Route 6, Pittsfield.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, rain or shine.

Now in its 42nd year, the festival has grown to include more than 150 juried local and national artisans. In addition to offering a showcase of handcrafted art, the festival includes a traveling petting zoo, face painting, balloon artistry, a Tamarack Wildlife Center birds of prey exhibit and lectures, teams of oxen and 4-H trainers stationed throughout the festival. Other demonstrations, from wool spinning to chainsaw carving, take place for the duration of the show, providing everyone the opportunity to enjoy the day.

Alexander the Magician will perform throughout the weekend.

A shaded picnic area is available with food vendors available.

Live music will include with Stephen Eng and Old Dawg Bluegrass Band on Saturday and the band Temple Grey on Sunday.
