Two people were taken to hospitals following a one-vehicle crash Monday evening on Route 59 in Mead Township.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the vehicle left the north side of the road at about 8:45 p.m. about half-way between Route 6 and Kinzua Dam. The vehicle entered a relatively flat, wooded area, and avoided striking major obstacles.
The driver allegedly swerved to miss a deer in the road, according to police.
One person in the car was transported by ambulance to the ball field by Brown Run and then flown by emergency helicopter for treatment.
Another was taken by ambulance for treatment at Warren General Hospital.
The heavily-damaged Honda sedan with Pennsylvania plates was removed from the scene at about 10:30 p.m.
The road was closed from shortly after the crash until after the vehicle had been removed.
Further details were not available Tuesday evening.
