On Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. the Audubon Community Nature Center is offering Photography Class: Camera Basics.

Those attending will learn basic vocabulary used in the field of photography and how to use the functions of a camera. The group will learn about the different types of cameras (DSLR/Mirrorless), settings on those cameras, and then delve into shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.

The course is appropriate for beginners or those needing a refresher in basic photography. It is also a stepping stone for the Sept. 21 class on lenses and putting it all together.

Bring a camera and the instruction manual if available.

Instructor Phil Gilbert founded JP Photography in 2012. A member of the Warren, Pa., City Council and chair of the Warren County Redevelopment Authority, Gilbert is president of Warren Area Student Union, the Tax Claim Association for the State of Pennsylvania and Innovault Cowork, of which he was also co-founder.
