Conservation District hosting ‘Bobbers and Buddies’ event

Catch. Release. Repeat.

The Warren County Conservation District is inviting “My Pal and Me” to do some fishing at the Hatch Run Conservation Demonstration Area, on the evening of Friday, April 22.

“Come join us for ‘Bobbers and Buddies’ where we will enjoy some catch and release fishing,” Watershed Specialist Jean Gomory said.

“Registration is required for this event as we can only accommodate 20 kids and their buddies,” Gomory said.

Registration can be handled by calling (814) 726-1441. The deadline is 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 20.

No fishing experience is required.

The group will meet at the HRCDA pavilion at 6:30 p.m., then take a walk to the pond and fish until 7:30 p.m. The pond contains bass and bluegill.

The HRCDA is located about a quarter mile past the PennDOT drivers license center of Hatch Run Road in Glade Township.

The My Pal and Me series invites young people to bring their buddy — a parent, guardian, grandparent or adult sibling — to get out and enjoy and learn about the outdoors.

The May program is on soil and Creek Critters will be featured in June.
