Audubon gift shop set for Saturday

At Audubon Community Nature Center’s Blue Heron Gift Shop you can find just the right gift for any child in your life, and all the grown-ups, as well. Everything in the shop — including new items, wonderful locally-made products, and new memberships are 10% off on Small Business Saturday, November 27.

The Blue Heron Gift Shop at Audubon Community Nature Center (ACNC) is stocked for the holidays with gifts, many that are unique to Audubon.

ACNC is participating in Small Business Saturday on Nov. 27, the national shopping day created to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities.

On Small Business Saturday most items in the gift shop will be 10% off for everyone, and 20% off for all current Nature Center Members. Non-sale items include birdseed, Nature Discovery Kits, Gift Certificates, and Animal Advocate Packages.

Are you not yet a member of Audubon, or do you know someone who would appreciate becoming part of the Audubon Community? Purchase a “holiday gift membership” to Audubon for yourself or your favorite nature-lover and get 10% off your annual membership fee on this day only.

Blue Heron Gift Shop items include Audubon’s own Nature Discovery Kits, new puppets and plush animals, a wide variety of children’s books, nature and guide books, locally made jams, jellies, honey, beeswax candles, and soaps, and much more.

Before or after you stop in to shop, take a nature break by walking the trails, playing in the outdoor nature play area, or visiting the live animals.

Building admission is free of charge to all visitors as part of Small Business Saturday, and the grounds, which include more than six miles of trails, are always free.

Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown, N.Y., and Warren, Pa.

The three-story Nature Center building houses interactive displays, a collection of live animals including the new Hellbender exhibit, the 2021 Nature Photography Contest winners, and the Blue Heron Gift Shop. Visitors are welcome Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and Sundays, 1 – 4:30 p.m. Nature Center members enjoy free building admission daily, and building admission is free every Sunday for non-Nature Center members as well.

To learn more about Audubon and its many programs, call (716) 569-2345, find Audubon Community Nature Center on Facebook, or visit AudubonCNC.org. All visitors, volunteers, and staff are required to wear face coverings while inside the building; any updates to these requirements can be found at the COVID-19 Notice on that webpage.

Audubon Community Nature Center builds and nurtures connections between people and nature by providing positive outdoor experiences, opportunities to learn about and understand the natural world, and knowledge to act in environmentally responsible ways.
