Library announces winners of Savannah Safari Contest

Photo submitted to Times Observer Adeline and Harrison Amsdell sit in front of the Warren Public Library with the Outdoor Adventure gift basket presented to Adeline for being one of the winners of the library’s Savannah Safari contest. The other winner, who was not available for the photo, was Leonora Ignatius.

The winners of the Savannah Safari Contest have been named.

A random drawing determined the winners of the Warren Public Library contest.

Contestants had to view weekly recordings of the Savannah Safari on the library’s Facebook page. Each week, the participants had to write down the titles of the books read by Savannah and her “weekly magic word,” Children’s Librarian Susan Slater said.

The winners are Adeline Amsdell and Leonora Ignatius.

“Adeline is one of the very lucky winners of an awesome Outdoor Adventure gift basket,” Slater said.

“The gift basket was put together by Savannah Safari, and is chock full of fun items for tons of outdoor adventures,” she said.

Amsdell will not have to enjoy the basket’s contents alone. She is “sure to share with her brother Harrison,” Slater said.
