Proceeds from event benefits WGH

Photo submitted to Times Observer Ed Shults of Warren Owner/General Manager Sean Ellsworth (left) presents a check for $2,733 to Warren General Hospital CEO Rick Allen as a result of the 2020 Subaru Share the Love Event.

For every Subaru vehicle sold at Ed Shults of Warren in 2020, the company donated a portion of the proceeds to Warren General Hospital through the Share the Love event.

That added up to $2,733.

“We are extremely passionate about making a positive impact in local communities nationwide and what we identify as living the ‘Love Promise,'” Owner/General Manager Sean Ellsworth said. “The Subaru Share the Love event aligns exceptionally well with our brand values but also just a great example of living the Love Promise.”

“We are very proud to be part of an organization like Subaru that is very focused on giving back to the community and we do this not because it is good for business, but because it is the right thing to do,” Ellsworth said.

In the 13 years of the nationwide Share the Love Event, Subaru has donated more than $200 million to national and local charities. In 2020, the program resulted in donations of more than $26.2 million.
