This summer, Gracelynn Rockwell from Warren will join outstanding elementary school students from across the state to take part in a unique academic and career-oriented development experience, the National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to STEM, taking place at Bowling Green University, Bowling Green, Ohio.

NYLF Pathways to STEM is one of the Envision by WorldStrides family of programs that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom.

Gracelynn is 9 years old, daughter of Randy and Richele Rockwell.

She was nominated by her third-grade teacher at WAEC. She enjoys all her classes at school, reading and writing short stories.

She is excited for all the things she is going to learn and do at the STEM forum. She hopes to use the skills she will learn at camp in a future career.

Gracelynn won a $500 scholarship. To cover the remaining cost, friends and family donated to her go fund me campaign.

They learn how to adapt to and communicate in new situations, to new challenges, and with new people, which, given how rapidly the world is changing due to technology and innovation, are essential skills for success.”
