Awards presented at ‘Art in the Wilds’ show
After a year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Artist Awards were presented at the 15th annual Art in the Wilds Fine Arts Show in Kane, Pa. Offered for sale were paintings, mixed media, photographs, glass, jewelry, metal, wood, ceramics, fiber, and sculpture.
Jurors visited each booth and reviewed each artists’ body of work plus booth presentations.
Four awards were presented to the artists based upon the jurying results. Best of Show 2D (two dimensional work) went to Kim Keller (Mixed Media) from Franklin, Pa. Best of Show 3D (three dimensional work) went to Peggy Houser (Beaded Jewelry) from Kane, Pa . They each received ribbons and $200. Best of Show awardees are also automatically juried into next year’s show. Two Awards of Excellence were also presented. These could be for either 2D or 3D work.
The winners for these two awards were Kalpana Lehman (Glass Jewelry) from Carlisle, PA; and Lawrence Downey (Photography) from Waterford, Pa . They each received ribbons and $100.
