Woman’s club fashion show set for Thursday

A French-themed fashion show is coming to the Woman’s Club of Warren Thursday evening.

It’s a fundraiser for the Woman’s Club’s efforts to maintain the Water’s Mansion — 310 Market St. — where the club is located. The site is on the National Registry of Historic Places.

The theme for Thursday’s festivities is “Romance in France” and is described as a “virtual trip to Paris and Monet’s Garden at Giverny.”

Karen David, PR chair for the Woman’s Club, said that a social hour kicks off at 5:30 with hors d’oeuvres from Liberty St. Lunch. She said participants “will enjoy the beautiful space of the Woman’s Club and stroll through Monet’s Garden courtesy of flowers and plants from local florists.”

The fashion show itself kicks off at 6:30 p.m.

Davis said the fashions will be presented by Cheri Greenstein from her GG MY Love boutique on the grounds of the Chautauqua Institution.

“Friends and members of Woman’s Club of Warren will model clothing, shoes and a wide range of accessories as they walk through Monet’s Garden,” she explained.

“You will be dazzled with the newest fashion trends and, for those who have visited Cheri’s store on the grounds of Chautauqua Institution, you know that you are in for an exciting evening of stunning fashions and accessories suitable for all ages.”

Tickets are $25 each in addition to raffle items as well as select items from GG My Love’s shop that will be available for purchase.

Pre-paid reservations are required due to limited seating and tickets can be purchased at Ekey’s Florist, at the Woman’s Club or from any club board member.
