Bingo night fundraiser will be held on Monday

A Bingo night fundraiser will be held Monday at the Garland Fire Hall. Doors open at 4 p.m., the kitchen opens at 4 p.m., Bingo starts at 6 p.m. A $30 donation pays for as much as one can play on regular cards. Details can be found on the department’s Facebook page.

The Garland VFD will have a fish fry fundraiser on Friday, April 10, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The dinner is drive-through only and costs $10 per dinner. The meal includes deep-fried fish, french fries, applesauce and roll.

On Saturday, March 20, there will be a spring craft show at the Garland Fire Hall, 31 Bailey Lane, Garland, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., that includes a Chinese auction, a variety of craft tables, food and a 50/50 drawing. To become a vendor or for more information call Bonnie at 814-688-4021.

Youngsville Borough spring clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, May 8, from 8: a.m. to n oon. More details to come.

Fire hydrants: Borough officials ask residents to do their part to remove snow around fire hydrants in their areas.

Odd/Even Parking: Odd/Even parking will continue through March 31. On Odd days of the week drivers must park on “odd number” house sides of the street starting at 8 a.m. until 8 a.m.. on even-numbered days of the week.

Sled found: A child’s lost sled was turned in at the borough offfice. Contact the office for details.

COMEDY NIGHT

Wednesday, March 17, is Comedy Night at the Brokenstraw Valley Winery with headliner Johnny Lee Dam. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $10 each or $15 at the door.

Fish Fry: A Lenten Fish Fry fundraiser will continue to be held every Friday during Lent from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost is $10 donation per meal and includes: fish, choice of potato (baked or fries), choice of coleslaw or applesauce, and roll. Dine-in or take-out options.
