Saddles And Spurs members still riding

Sanford Saddles and Spurs club member Mackenzie Nichols is riding her horse Tipsy bareback.

The Sanford Saddles and Spurs are still not able to meet in person due to COVID restrictions, but club members are still riding.

Many club members participate in the 4-H Recreational Riding program, where they simply have to log non-competitive hours they spend riding their horse. Some club members are using this time to learn something new.

Hialeah Stanton attended a roping clinic that was not part of 4-H, but will help her learn and grow with her horse. Evelyn and Alaina Ongley are learning more about the Mountain Horse Challenge and plan to compete in these events to help prepare their horses for trail class in 4-H. Makenzie Nichols is spending the chilly days practicing riding her horse bareback. Other members are just enjoying being able to spend time with their horses.

Bryceton Maille will be attending a virtual leadership conference February 4-7 through the Penn State 4-H program. Some members still have beef sticks for sale. Club members are looking forward to getting together and meeting in person soon. Until then, they will continue to communicate virtually and continue to ride their horses to help prepare for when they can get together again.
