Conservation District looking for educators

The Warren County Conservation District is looking for outstanding conservation educators.

Each year, the conservation district recognizes one educator as its conservation educator of the year.

Nominees don’t have to be school teachers.

“To nominate a teacher, scout troop leader, 4-H leader, daycare provider, or educator in any other type of organization, email the following information to (WCCD Watershed Specialist) Jean Gomory at jgomory@wcconservation.net:

¯ name of the nominee;

¯ name of the project or program created or carried out by the nominee;

¯ a description of the project or program;

¯ how this project or program is affecting students; and

¯ approximate number of students reached by this project or program and how many students are actively participating.

The nomination deadline is Feb. 10.
