Outdoor club to kayak sunday

Members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club on Sunday will kayak at the Nebraska Bridge near Tionesta. The group will meet at Betts at 1 p.m. Gary Lester and Linda Ross will be the leaders. Contact Linda for any questions at (814) 688-5908.

Chickan and biscuit dinner is Saturday

There will be a chicken and biscuit drive-through dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, at Wrightsville Fire Hall to benefit the Wrightsville Volunteer Fire Department. Dinner will include chicken gravy, mashed potatoes, biscuit, corn, cole slaw, and a cookie. The event is sponsored by Berea Lutheran Church, Lottsville United Church, and Wrightsville Community Church.

Blood drive set for today in Tidioute

An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 1:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, at the Tidioute Fire Hall, 228 Main St., Tidioute. To donate blood, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org, call 800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
