YMCA will open Friday with new restrictions

The Warren YMCA will open Friday.

Hours at the Warren branch will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday in June with no Saturday hours and no after-hours programs. The Youngsville branch will be open from 7 a.m. to noon and 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday in June. It will also have no Saturday hours in June.

Staff will wear masks and members are asked to wear masks moving around the Y, but not during workouts.

Open hours will be for our members only. There will be no guests and no day passes. All members will need to sign a waiver upon entering the facility and get their temperature checked. The number of people at the Warren branch will be limited to 50, not including child care and staff, and the Youngsville branch will be limited to 10 people.

Workouts will be limited to one hour maximum. Masks are to be worn by all staff and by members when they are moving from area to area. Locker rooms will be available, but no showers and no saunas will be open.

Members are responsible to clean before and after they use any equipment. The YMCA will have open its weight room, Precor room, functional fitness room and gyms. The pool will be open by appointment only for lap swimming.

There will not be any spinning, pickleball or basketball play. All drinking fountains will be unavailable except for the area to fill a water bottle.
