Hair-DO!

Photo submitted to Times Observer

Youngsville Elementary School second-grader Lilly Lucia, 7, can’t go to a beautician to get her hair done during the pandemic, but that didn’t stop her from donating 10 inches of hair to Children with Hair Loss, a non-profit organization that uses donated hair to make wigs. The organization then donates the wigs to children and teens with alopecia/hair loss due to illness rather than charge for them. “We are so very proud of her kind heart and true compassion for other children,” said her mom, April, who did the cutting at home.
