Allegheny Community Greenhouse opening

The Allegheny Community Greenhouse, located on the Warren State Hospital grounds in North Warren, is opening for its plant sale this weekend. The greenhouse has hardy flowers, veggies, herbs, and hanging baskets for sale. It will be open Fridays and Saturdays, May 8 through May 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All customers must wear a mask to enter the greenhouse and practice safe social distancing rules. Call the Allegheny Community Center at 723-3237 for information.

Humane Society donations

Donations were made to Paws Along the River for April in honor of or in memory of the following:

Special Olympics golf tourney canceled

Warren County Special Olympics’ 27th Annual Golf Outing Monday, June 22, at the Conewango Valley Country Club has been canceled due to COVID-19. “The health and safety of you, our athletes and volunteers is our top priority and want to ensure we take all measures to keep everyone safe,” said Christy Calvert of WCSO.

Swedish Church/Cemetery meeting

The annual spring meeting for the Swedish Union Church and Cemetery of Tidioute will be held on Sunday, May 17, at 2 p.m. The meeting is held at the Swedish Union Church on Swede Road in Tidioute. Anyone is welcome to attend.
