Community Foundation scholarship application deadline Monday

The Community Foundation online scholarship application is closing as of Monday, April 20. Students who have not started an application by then will not be able to access the application at cfowc.org. Students who have not completed an application will be given access to complete their applications on a case-by-case basis.

“With schools not in session, we know that many students have been doing work online at home. The Community Foundation wants to be sure that everyone has an opportunity to apply for scholarships for which they are eligible. However, in order to award scholarships and make payments to colleges, universities, and technical schools in a timely fashion, we have to close the online application and start evaluating those completed applications. Students who have done the work should not be penalized in favor of those who have not completed, or even started, their applications,” said John Lasher, Executive Director of the Foundation.

Students who do not have internet access received paper applications through the Warren County School District along with instructions for completing them.

Once the application is closed on Monday, April 20, students who have not started an application will not be able to apply online. Students who are having trouble completing their online applications should contact the Foundation immediately for help by sending an email to lag.cfwc@westpa.net or by calling (814) 726-9553.
