The AARP Driver Safety Courses, scheduled for the Allegheny Community Center (ACC), on March 25 and April 22 and 29 have been canceled as a precaution against the COVID-19 Coronavirus. The Chief Executive Officer of AARP, Jo Ann Jenkins, has informed the AARP instructors nationwide, including Lawrence Jackson and Charles Merroth, that all classes are canceled until May 1.

As May 1, approaches, AARP will reassess plans depending on the extent of the Coronavirus at that time. Currently a 4-hour refresher course is scheduled for May 13 at the ACC, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., to be taught by Charles Merroth. This course is subject to the ACC being open, AARP allowing instructions to resume, and the health of our local instructors. Additional, make-up courses will be scheduled in the summer if the Coronavirus is no longer a danger.
