Farmer dinner

Warren County Dairy Royalty hosted the annual Dairy Farmer Dinner recently.

County Dairy Princess Elizabeth Lucks, her court, and the dairy committee held the appreciation dinner for county dairy farmers with a total of 45 in attendance. The dinner was started approximately eight years ago in order to honor the hardworking local dairy farmers

Although there have been dairy misses and maids the past two years, there was no princess to keep the tradition of the dinner alive, so Elizabeth set out to change that this year. The royalty prepared the meal and served the dairy farmers and their families. The cuisine was complete with milk punch, cheese and crackers, and was topped off with Texas sheet cake and apple pie with ice cream.
