‘Tracks & Traces’ Saturday at Audubon

The forest is full of animal activity, but catching a glimpse of the animal is not always easy.

You and the three-to-eight-year-old child(ren) in your life are invited to Audubon Community Nature Center’s Little Explorers to find “Tracks and Traces” on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Come and use your detective skills to look for clues and explore different ways to discover what creatures have been hanging around Audubon this winter.

After a short lesson and an introduction to some helpful tools to aid in your search, it is time to bundle up and head outside where you can follow animal tracks, look for holes in the ground and in the trees, and see if you can find the leftovers of an animal’s lunch.

Enjoy a snack after the hike and a craft if there is time.

Little Explorers takes place regardless of the weather, so be sure to dress for whatever it is.

The fee for the program is $8 for adults, $6 for Nature Center members and children. Reservations are required by Thursday, February 6, 2020, and can be made by calling (716) 569-2345 during business hours or going to AudubonCNC.org/Programs and clicking on “Current Schedule.”

Little Explorers is presented on the second Saturday of every month, 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Audubon.

Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown, N.Y., and Warren. To learn more about Audubon and its many programs, call (716) 569-2345 during business hours, visit AudubonCNC.org, or find Audubon Community Nature Center on Facebook.
