Philomel
The next Philomel Club of Warren musical program is at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the Woman’s Club. Members and those interested in learning about the club will enjoy a selection of musical works provided by our club’s talented musicians.
Military Share
Second Harvest Food Bank will hold a Military Share distribution at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at the VA Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) at the Farm Colony in North Warren.
Military Share Program distributions provide free, fresh produce and other grocery products for veterans, reserve, guard, and active-duty personnel, and their families who qualify on the basis of income.
Bon-Ton lunch group
The Bon-Ton lunch group will meet at noon Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Applebee’s.
Gardener calendar
The 2020 Penn State Extension Master Gardener calendar is now available.
The calendar features photos each month, along with an Integrated Pest Management tip.
They are available through the Penn State Extension Office, 100 Dillon Dr., Youngsville, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., for $10. Those dollars benefit the Master Gardener program.
“It’s not only a donation to a worthy program, it’s an investment in the health of your yard and garden,” according to a Penn State Extension release.

Community breakfast
Russell United Methodist Church’s Free Community Breakfast will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18. Enjoy pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, and juice. Everyone is welcome.
‘Magical’ event
Warren County Christian School is gearing up for a ‘magical’ event at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18. “The Magic Man,” Jamie Petrush, and his lovely assistant, Mary Ann, are prepared to “take audiences on a family-friendly journey into a world where anything is possible and leave them with an experience they’ll never forget!”
