Christmas with the Critters Friday morning
Christmas with the Critters is Friday, Dec. 27, from 10:30 a.m to noon at Audubon Community Nature Center.
There will be live animals out, and some animal specimens and artifacts to explore.
At a craft station, children can make a holiday gift for wildlife that you can either leave at Audubon or take home to your own wild critters. You can go outside for a behind-the-scenes tour and visit with Liberty, Audubon’s non-releasable Bald Eagle, or do a critter scavenger hunt that takes you through the building.
The open house culminates at 11:45 a.m. when participants are invited to open the presents for the animals from the Giving Tree since the animals don’t have thumbs.
Admission to the party is $8 for adults, $6 for Nature Center members and children ages 3 to 15, and free for children two and under.
Reservations are appreciated; walk-ins are welcome.
