Audubon birdfeeder and birdseed Make-and-Take, Friday, Jan. 4
You can create a feeding stop for your feathered friends by making a homemade birdfeeder and special blend of birdseed.
Stop by Audubon Community Nature Center any time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, to participate in the Birdfeeder and Birdseed Make-and-Take.
After completing your feeder, for an additional fee, you can make a bag of your own birdseed mix.
Examples of birdfeeders, basic building materials, and birdseed are provided. You are encouraged to bring additional decorations or supplies to aid in making your creation.
This project is part of the Make-and-Take series at Audubon. Participants in each program create a project to take home, often using natural or recycled materials, with the goal of helping build and nurture a connection to nature.
These self-directed projects are designed to provide enough guidance to get participants started but also enough space to allow creativity to flourish. All ages are welcome to join in this community of creators, though small children may need assistance.
The fee for participating is $6.
Reservations are appreciated; walk-ins are welcome.
Reserve by calling (716) 569-2345 during business hours or going online to AudubonCNC.org/Programs and clicking “Current Schedule.”
