What’s New for the Holidays? Nov. 16 at Woman’s Club

Your holiday gifting can be accomplished at the annual What’s New for the Holidays fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Warren Woman’s Club 310 Market Street.

Make your season much brighter and stress-free by supporting the talents of local artisans and treat yourself to a delectable “Beef on Weck” luncheon. Your $3 entry fee (children under 12 are admitted free) will entitle you to shop from a wide variety of local vendors including:

Terry Bjorkquist – Usborne books;

G G My Love (Cheri Greenstein) — clothing and accessories galore;

Sue Nielsen – creative artistry;

Lou Cable – retro artwork;

Roberta Ward and daughter – handmade ground pine wreaths and bows;

Jan D’Amico — Nanna’s Joy handmade fabric dolls;

Cheryl Frye – reading pillows and credit card holders;

Colleen Pruskowski – jewelry;

Tybout House of Yarn and Candy;

Peggy Houser — Beads in the Forest;

Linda Gould Gutknecht — knives and crafts;

Bill Gross — hand-turned wood pens, seam rippers, etc.;

Wilma Fleming and Marian Aranyos – personal artwork;

Jack Northrop – handmade wooden bowls and wood items;

Gretchen Porier – massage therapy;

Judy Sharer — historical romance author;

Beth McPherson – Tupperware;

Sandy Ceriola – candy apples and baked goods;

Renee Trask – Touch of Tranquility wreaths and table decor;

Christine Roessler – beach glass jewelry.

The traditional Beef on “Weck” is on the luncheon menu beginning at 11:30 a.m. until gone. The meal includes a Beef on “Weck” sandwich, macaroni salad, chips, beverages, and homemade pumpkin roll for dessert; served in the seasonally-decorated dining room. All luncheon tickets will be sold at the door on Saturday the 16th at $10.

Victorian holiday decorations will fill the Woman’s Club, including Christmas trees decorated by local Girl and Boy Scout troops. You will also have the opportunity to visit and learn about non-profit, local social agencies in the Woman’s Club parlors.

Raffle items this year include a money tree of at least $300, a refurbished antique table by Jon Amacher, and a pewter tea/coffee service from Nan Cashman. The raffle drawings will take place the week of December 16.
