Cast announced for ‘Titanic’ Warren Players production

Warren Players has announced the casting of its 89th season’s opening production, “Titanic The Musical: In Concert.”

“Titanic” hits the Struthers Library Theatre stage at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24, 25 and 26; and 2 p.m. Oct. 27.

As an “in concert” production, the performances showcase both cast and orchestra together on the stage for the musical’s full dialogue and musical numbers, with limited staging and sets.

Winner of five Tony Awards, this musical set aboard the “unsinkable” Titanic tells of the passengers’ hopes and aspirations on the ship’s historic maiden voyage. In the final hour of April 14, 1912, the RMS Titanic, on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York, collided with an iceberg and slowly sank. One of the most tragic and infamous disasters of the 20th century, more than 1,500 men, women and children lost their lives.

Based on real people aboard the most legendary ship in the world, Maury Yeston and Peter Stone’s stunning musical focuses on their hopes and aspirations. Unaware of the fate that awaits them, the Third Class immigrants dream of a better life in America, the newly enfranchised Second Class dream of achieving the lifestyles of the rich and famous, and the millionaire Barons of the First Class dream of their mastery lasting forever.

To honor the original 2009 Warren Players’ production, the original cast and crew were asked to come back to reprise their roles. Returning members are noted below with an asterisk:
