September 1: Smokey’s Birthday Celebration, Chapman State Park Amphitheater, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Join Chapman State Park, Cornplanter State Forest District, and Clarendon Fire Department to celebrate Smokey Bear’s 75th birthday; parade, program, firefighting equipment, hot dogs, birthday cake.

September 7-8: 40th Annual Wild Wind Folk Art & Craft Festival, Warren County Fairgrounds, Route 6, Pittsfield, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, rain or shine; 150 juried artisans, food, live music, children’s activities, demonstrations, magician, and more.

September 10: Susan B. Anthony Alive — Suffrage Centennial Program, 6:30 p.m., Struthers Library Theatre. Living history actor Christina Rausa will portray Susan B. Anthony, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Free and open to the public. Presented by the Warren County Historical Society. Provided through a Zonta Club of Warren Community Grant.

September 11: September 9/11 Patriot’s Day Freedom Walk in Sugar Grove Town Park, 5:30 p.m., to Remember 9/11.

September 20-21: 3rd Annual Livestrong Trash & Treasure Sale, Warren County YMCA.

September 21: Allegheny Center for The Arts presents Allegheny RiverfesT at Betts Park, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Arts, crafts, food vendors, music, book readings, and demonstrations plus face painting, Fairytale Troupe, Adult Paint in the Park activity at 2 p.m. Recycled art contest, “Save the Allegheny,” for ages 11-16. September 26: National Forge Exhibits & Open House, 6 to 8 p.m., Wilder Museum National Forge Exhibit Room. Refreshments provided. Free and open to the public.

September 28: Warren Area Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease, Betts Park. Registration at 9 a.m., Opening Ceremony and program 10 a.m., Walk stepping off at 10:30 a.m.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays: Have You Visited the Book Cellar? In the lower level of the Warren Public Library. Selection of books for children, teens, and adults, plus DVDs & puzzles; priced from $.25- $4.
