August 3: Pleasant Days; yard sales throughout Pleasant Township, fire department open house, chicken BBQ at 11 a.m.

August 3: Kinzua Country Tango Adventure Race.

August 3: Tidioute Fireman’s Festival, noon to 6 p.m.

August 3: Rousestock ’19 Festival of food, music, crafts, 2 to 9 p.m., Rouse Estate.

August 3: Tidioute’s 11th Annual World War II Reenactment, 3 p.m.

August 3: Crary Art Gallery opening reception for new solo exhibitions, Jennifer Miller and Barbara Bianchi, 6 to 8 p.m. Plus, a display by students of art workshops with Samila Sosic (www.craryartgallery.org)

August 4: Historical Society’s Oakland Cemetery Picnic & Tour; pack a picnic lunch and then learn about some of the historic people buried in Warren’s largest cemetery. Oakland Cemetery, 37 Mohawk Avenue, Warren.

August 6-10: Warren County Fair.

August 8-11: 2019 USCA National Canoe & Kayak Marathon Championships — a 4-day event where canoers and kayakers from across the U.S. and Canada test their race skills against the best in their sport. The 2019 edition of this premier race event is being hosted by the Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry (WCCBI); the 6th time Warren has played host to the USCA Nationals since 2003. The marathon races will be held on Allegheny River.

August 9: The Warren Festival of the Arts presents “Where Are You Going?” 7:30 p.m. at the Struthers Library Theatre.

August 15: Warren County Tales: Elnora Monroe Babcock, Local Suffragist, 6 p.m., Wilder Museum of County History; bring lawn seating and enjoy tales of local suffragist Elnora Monroe Babcock by Traci Langworthy. Refreshments provided. Free and open to the public.

August 22: Journey to Japan — a Sugar Grove Free Library Fundraiser, 5 to 8 p.m., Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department. Presented by Terra Celyn LoPresti. Pre-registration required; contact the Sugar Grove Free Library at 489-7872.

August 24: Ride for Nancy Dice Run. Sign up 10 a.m. to noon at RalphE’s Pub, $20 per driver/$15 per passenger. Free dinner after the ride at the Warren Eagles Club. Prizes, 50/50, and basket raffle. All proceeds benefit the New Hope Assistance Dogs – Veterans Division. This ride is open to all vehicles: motorcycles, cars, and trucks. Contact Tracey at 688-8364 or Jimmy at 688-3997.

September 10: Susan B. Anthony Alive — Suffrage Centennial Program, 6:30 p.m., Struthers Library Theatre. Living history actor Christina Rausa will portray Susan B. Anthony, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Free and open to the public. Presented by the Warren County Historical Society. Provided through a Zonta Club of Warren Community Grant.

September 26: National Forge Exhibits & Open House, 6 to 8 p.m., Wilder Museum National Forge Exhibit Room. Refreshments provided. Free and open to the public.

September 28: Warren Area Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease, Betts Park. Registration at 9 a.m., Opening Ceremony and program 10 a.m., Walk stepping off at 10:30 a.m.

October 13: Warren County’s Got Talent, hosted by Women’s Care Center of Warren. For registration/more information, call (814) 723-4357.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays: Have You Visited the Book Cellar? In the lower level of the Warren Public Library. Selection of books for children, teens, and adults, plus DVDs & puzzles; priced from $.25- $4. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Thursdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or whenever you see Sherm the Book Worm flying outside.
