End of Alzheimer’s Walk
Recently, approximately 100 people walked for the End of Alzheimer’s Disease and raised nearly $20,000 to further research to find a cure for this relentless disease.
There were 92 participants across 22 teams who raised funds for medical research and for education programs, including those presented locally. Community support throughout the year came from Kinzua Healthcare and Rehab and Life NWPA providing lunches and meeting space monthly for the committee.

Top fundraisers were recognized with medals and included Ron Pazderski of the Team Pat and Vicki Anthony of the Caregivers Support Group Team each with over $1,000 collected as grand champions.
The five champions with $500 or more raised in donations were also presented with medals and included Lee Barney, Carmen Bevacqua, Tina Stanz, Erin Fluent, and Carol Stowe.
Even though the event fell short of the monetary goal, it successfully achieved the goals of increasing awareness of the disease and of informing Warren and surrounding communities that there is information as well as support provided locally for those with Alzheimer’s disease, other dementias,
