Bridge results

Tuesday afternoon at the Allegheny Community Center, Susan Swab placed first and Cindy Schumann was second. At the Woman’s Club Thursday afternoon, Donna Holding was first with Tana Fegely in second. Bill Massa came in first Thursday evening at the library and Lynda McCollough was second.

Class lunch

The WAHS class of 1967 will hold a lunch at noon Friday, Oct. 12, at Perkins Restaurant. All class members, spouses, or significant others are welcome. Check out the 1967 Class Facebook Page for more information.

Watson clean-up day

Watson Township will hold a Fall Trash Clean-up Day for Watson Township residents and camp owners on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Building.

The Township is charging $5 per vehicle load. Batteries, solvents, hazardous materials, and propane tanks cannot be accepted. Tires will be collected for a fee. Electronics will be collected.

Televisions cannot be accepted.

Christian luncheon

Village Missions Country Partners, formerly Warren Christian Women, invite you to its “Spooky Sales” luncheon at the Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St. Warren, on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from noon to 2:30 p.m.

Featured guest will be Clarendon’s Geri Fox, who will auction off gently used or never used household items. Proceeds will be donated directly to Village Missions for its rural outreach programs.

Regular guests are to bring an item to add to the auction table.

First-time guests do not need to bring an item. Men are welcome, too.

In addition to the auction, the spiritual speaker will be Mary Brown of the new Women’s Care Center in Warren on Hatch Run Rd., and the musical guest will be David Ford of Jamestown, N.Y.

Make reservations with Lee Jones at 723-5952 by Oct 5. The $9 fee covers lunch and program.
