Love everywhere

Love In the Name of Christ now serving all of Warren County

Photo submitted to Times Observer Love, INC volunteers enjoyed an open house with great refreshments provided by the board of directors. Volunteers are the backbone of this ministry and could not exist without their dedication and service. If you volunteer and were unable to attend the open house, stop by the office to pick up your appreciation gift.

In 2010, Love In the Name of Christ of the Brokenstraw Valley began serving people with needs in the seven township area of the Brokenstraw Valley. Over the past eight years, partner churches have been helping people in the community by providing furniture, food, baby items, linens and many other items when needed; often receiving calls from people outside the seven township boundaries and now able to serve anywhere in Warren County.

Love, INC is part of a national non-profit, non-denominational movement of churches and affiliates across the United States. Partner churches work together through Love, INC to reach out to those in need. Its mission is to mobilize the local church to transform lives and communities in the name of Christ.

Love, INC uses a clearinghouse model to receive calls from people in need as a central entry point or hub; listening to them, learning their story and assessing how partner church ministries and community resources may be of assistance. Ultimately, Love, INC helps build relationships between people. Love, INC is a bridge that enables churches to reach more people with the message of Christ. Volunteers are Christians living out their faith through many various opportunities within the church ministries.

The next phase of ministry that this affiliate will be entering is that of transformational ministry. This type of ministry covers a much broader range of participants. Through classes and events, participants learn their value and purpose and are encouraged to explore their dreams, goals and God’s plan for their life. They will then have an opportunity to engage in the comprehensive transformational ministry where they can be matched with a mentor who will work together with them over 12 to 18 months as they put what they have learned into real action in their life. This is where true transformation of individuals and communities can occur.

Everyone experiences a time in life when they have a need. Having someone come alongside you and support you through the need can make all the difference in the world.

Even better, is the ability to share what you have learned through a rough experience with someone who is in the middle of it themselves.

As Love, INC moves into serving all of Warren County, members will be speaking with churches, organizations and volunteers that are interested in partnering with Love, INC.
