Local artisans, shopowners event planned for Nov. 11

Get a jumpstart on holiday gifting, support the talents of local artisans and treat yourself to a delectable “Beef on Weck” luncheon — all at the annual Warren Woman’s Club fundraiser, What’s New for the Holidays! from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11.

Your entry fee of $3 (children under 12 are admitted free) at the 310 Market Street ballroom will entitle you to shop from a wide variety of local vendors, including:

The Woman’s Club will continue to serve its traditional Beef on “Weck” luncheon, which begins at 11:30 a.m. until gone.

The meal includes a beef on “weck” sandwich, homemade macaroni salad, chips, beverages and homemade pumpkin roll for dessert served in a seasonally-decorated dining room.

All luncheon tickets will be sold at the door Saturday at a price of $10.

Victorian holiday decorations abound at Woman’s Club including Christmas trees decorated by local Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops. You will also have the opportunity to visit display tables of local agencies in our parlors.

Raffle items this year include:

A money tree worth over $300, a wine basket composed by members Marge Himber and Judy Champlin, a handmade ground pine wreath created by Woman’s Club member Roberta Ward, an antique platform rocker donated by member Rebecca Ryan and a c.1840-50s hand-rubbed cherry finished washstand courtesy of Jon Amacher. The raffle drawings will take place Friday, December 15, 2017.
