Times Observer photo by Brian Ferry The Haunted Trolley Tour returns to the Warren County Historical Society on Friday. It continues Saturday. For story, see A6.

Under cloudy skies, on Friday the 13th, groups of the curious took half-hour tours Friday into the unlucky history of downtown Warren.

Warren County Historical Society’s annual Haunted House and Trolley Tour kicked off Friday night.

The horse-drawn trolley made six tours Friday, each starting and ending at the historical society and including a stretch along the Allegheny River.

Local volunteers Gary Lester and Ron Keeney told the curious tales associated with sites along the way.

The mysterious death of an entire family.

A new pair of volunteer tour guides will act as the storytellers on Saturday.

There are some tickets available for Saturday evening’s tours and there is no cost to tour the ‘haunted’ Schimmelfeng House itself.

Information and tickets are available by visiting www.warrenhistory.org.
