The inaugural Livestrong at the YMCA Trash and Treasure Sale will be held Friday, Sept. 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon with all items being $1 a bag on Saturday. All items for sale have been donated by the public, YMCA, and Livestrong Program members. All proceeds benefit the Livestrong at the YMCA Program. Livestrong at the YMCA is a free program for cancer survivors that offers 12 weeks of strength and cardio classes customized to fit each individual in their search to heal and fine a new plan for healthy living. Survivors can get fitness classes as well as yoga, bouncing, silver sneakers, and aquatics fitness classes among others from staff certified in Livestrong training.
