Sugar Grove Ruff Riders help Rouse residents celebrate Christmas

On Tuesday, Dec. 6,  the Sugar Grove Ruff Riders entertained about 30 men and women at the Rouse Suites in Youngsville. In photo above, a solo was presented by Eliza Brook on her saxophone. Lillian Symth and Tess Doty sang a duet. Emilienne Turbide played the piano and sang a solo. Hailey Graham and Marissa Gourley also sang a duet. The Cloverbuds, Arlene and Esther Boisvert demonstrated a gymnastic routine, spotted by their mother, leader Kelly Boisvert. Katie Downs sang Christmas Hallelujah while playing guitar and foot percussion rattle. Leder Virginia Loizeaux sang Mary’s Little Boy Child and accompanied herself on the guitar. After caroling the members served homemade cookies and cider and visited with the residents. Tess Doty was selected as the news reporter. Members drew names for the Christmas exchange for the next meeting on Jan. 3.
