Warren County represents at Pennsylvania State 4-H Horse Show

The 57th annual Pennsylvania State 4-H Horse Show was held October 28-30 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. More than 700 youth from over 60 counties participated in 73 performance classes throughout the weekend. There were over 1200 entries shown by youth that qualified for the show.
The state show is the final competition of the year for 4-H horse members enrolled in performance horse projects. To be eligible for the show, members must advance through qualifying competitions at county and district levels. Events include showmanship, horsemanship, equitation, pleasure, over fences, driving, western riding, reining, trail and timed events. A therapeutic riding division for riders with special needs is also included.
Warren County proudly congratulates Abby Bouchard and Remy, for placing 1st in the Raised Box Keyhole class. Abby is a member of the Sanford Saddles & Spurs club. Abby and Remy also placed 9th in the Barrel Race for Horses and 10th in Cutback.
Emily Allison placed 4th in Western Horsemanship and 8th in Western Grooming and Showmanship, Intermediate with her mare, Gettin Great. She also participated in Western Pleasure Horses. Emily is a member of the Scandia Trail Blazers.
Holly Allison participated in Western Grooming and Showmanship, Senior with her gelding Ironically. She is a member of the Scandia Trail Blazers
Gracie Anthony participated in Cutback Ponies with her mare, Ginger. She is a member of the Scandia Trail Blazers.
Alexandra Barr participated in Raised Box Keyhole Horses with her gelding, Starlets Lad. She is a member of the Pittsfield Bronc Busters.
Melissa Burton and her gelding, I’m Lukin Blue, placed 6th in Beginner English Pleasure. She also participated in English Grooming and Showmanship, Junior, and Beginner English Equitation. Melissa is a member of the Kinzua Ridge Runners.
Halie Cass placed 2nd with her gelding, Skip a Superjet, in Low Working Hunter, Horse. She also participated in Breed Type Hunter Under Saddle and Hunter Hack. Halie is a member of the Sanford Saddles & Spurs.
Leandra DeMarco participated in Barrel Race Horses with her mare, Hopefully Preferred. She is a member of the Kinzua Ridge Runners.
Savannah Drake participated in Cutback Ponies with her gelding, Reiner. She is a member of the Sanford Saddles & Spurs.
Macey Eyler participated in Breed Type Hunter Under Saddle and English Grooming and Showmanship, Intermediate, with her gelding, Rebel. She is a member of the Scandia Trail Blazers.
Audrey Ferrie participated in Western Grooming and Showmanship, Intermediate with her gelding, Ty My Sneakers. She is a member of the Scandia Trail Blazers.
Dakota Hultberg placed 2nd in Beginner Western Pleasure, 3rd in Beginner Trail, 4th in Western Grooming and Showmanship, Jr., and 7th in Beginner Western Horsemanship with her gelding, Don’t Buck the System. She is a member of the Scandia Trail Blazers.
Tyler Hultberg participated in Western Grooming and Showmanship, Senior, Western Pleasure Horses, and Western Horsemanship with his gelding, Moonlit Investment. Tyler is a member of the Scandia Trail Blazers.
Lydia Larson placed 4th in Pole Bending Ponies with her mare, Bree. She also participated in Barrel Race Ponies. Lydia is a member of the Scandia Trail Blazers.
Emma Marino placed 7th in Raised Box Keyhole Ponies with her mare, Tag. She is a member of the Sanford Saddles & Spurs.
Ava Nyweide participated in Beginner Western Horsemanship and Beginner Western Pleasure with her mare, Honey Bit. She is a member of the Sunset Bandits.
Samantha Nyweide placed 3rd in Mini Horse Driving with her gelding, Cody. Additionally Samantha participated in English Grooming and Showmanship with her mare, Dolly, and placed 5th; and 9th in Breed Type Hunter Under Saddle Horses. She also participated in Hunt Seat on the flat, Open Trail and Mini Horse In-hand Trail. She is a member of the Sunset Bandits.
Rachael Richards participated in Hunt Seat on the Flat with her gelding, Sonny. She is a member of the Scandia Trail Blazers.
Maya Weis placed 5th in Obstacle Trail Minimum Assistance and 10th in Walk Trot Equitation, Minimum Assistance with her horse Dia-Omega. Maya is a member of the Pittsfield Bronc Busters.
Ava Whiteman for the fourth year in a row participated in the state horse show. She and her horse, Song of Moonbug, placed 3rd in Raised Box Keyhole Horse, Junior Rider. Ava also participated in Pole Bending Horses. She is a member of the Kinzua Ridge Runners.
Brielle Whitney participated in Breed Type Hunter Under Saddle and Hunt Seat Equitation on the flat with her gelding, Max. She is a member of the Scandia Trail Blazers.
Ally Woolslayer placed 10th in Raised Box Keyhole Horses with her gelding, Willie. She also participated in Pole Bending Horses. She is a member of the Scandia Trail Blazers.
Congratulations to these members and all Warren County 4-H members and leaders for developing their project skills. 4-H in Pennsylvania is coordinated by Penn State Cooperative Extension through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. 4-H programs are open to all boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 18 regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
