The Sounds of Music: Summer Music School has opened registration
Warren County Summer Music School, in its 27th season, has opened registration for this summer’s program.
Classes for students entering fifth grade through adults will be taught June 13-30 at Beaty Warren Middle School weekdays from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Buses to pick up students will stop in Sugar Grove, Lander, Russell, North Warren, Tidioute, Grand Valley, Pittsfield, Youngsville, Starbrick, Pleasant Township, Sheffield, Tiona, Clarendon, and Warren.
Each student has the opportunity to fill a schedule with five daily classes.
Instrumental classes are offered for woodwinds, brass, percussion, orchestral strings, guitar, ukulele, piano, handbells, and harp.
Instruction is also provided in voice, theatre, visual arts, dance, instrument repair, and yoga.
Several new classes will be offered this summer, including pipe organ, ceramics, sculpture, and Level II instruction for ukulele, electronic music, and photography.
Applications have been sent home with Warren County fourth- and fifth-grade students and are available to all interested students entering fifth grade and higher. Adults and senior citizens are invited and encouraged to experience the joys of music and take classes of interest. There are a limited number of scholarships available.
