Zock
From James Zock to his wife of 61 years, Velma Zock, written in 1990. They will celebrate their anniversary on Friday, Oct. 24.
How do I love thee, let me count the ways.
I love you when you’re happy,
but not on grumpy days.
A child’s book is full of happiness
and shows them how to love
ah, such sweet innocence
He gives them from above
Sitting on their bookshelf
all tattered, used and torn,
because of joy and happiness
derived from use are worn.
The other books collecting dust
for they have nothing to give.
But the secret of the child’s book
it shows you how to live
To me you’re like the child’s book,
so full of love and life.
I’m proud and very happy
to have you, my Dear Velma, as my wife.
