Judith Schager and John W. Larson, Jr. of Russell were united in marriage at the Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church in Warren on June 13, 1964. The couple met while attending Beaty Junior High School. Here we are, 50 years later, and their love and happiness is as strong as ever.

They raised their two children, Robin (Jim) and Bill (Kathy) in Hamburg, N.Y. Following John’s retirement from National Fuel and Judy’s from RealtyUSA, the couple built a log home in Russell where they enjoy the fresh country air, golfing and having family gatherings. They have been blessed with six grandchildren, Dillan, Erica, Jamie, Tyler, Justin and Ryan ,who are their pride and joy along with their Labradoodle, Paris.

A celebration with friends and family including bridal party members Richard Smith, Judi Larson Wills, Nancy Ballard Massa, Kim Schager Morrison, Fred Larson, and Don Schager was held at the Frewsburg American Legion on June 14.

John and Judy are always entertaining and enjoyable to be around. You can’t help but feel loved when you’re with them. Please wish them a Happy 50th wedding anniversary when you see them next.
