Owners Amy and Michael Philhower of Sunrise Collaborative, LLC., a private practice company that provides outpatient mental health therapy services in Warren, is now going to be adding a new service.

Sunrise Collaborative is partnering with Jamestown Psychiatric P.C. and will now be offering medication management and psychiatric evaluations at Sunrise Collaborative LLC, 1048 Pennsylvania Ave. West, Warren.

“We have put a lot of thought into the type of providers we wanted to work with,” the Philhowers said.

“We connected with Dr. Abbasi owner of Jamestown Psychiatric, PC., who was highly interested in collaborating with us. We believe Dr. Meer and Rachel King are going to be a great fit with our current trauma informed and client focused private practice company.”

Dr. Shahnawaz Meer, psychiatrist, and Rachel King, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) will be the prescribers.

Both Meer and King are familiar with the mental health needs in Warren County through their work on the inpatient psychiatric unit at Warren General Hospital.

“We are looking forward to joining a dynamic team to provide improved and prompt care for people with mental health symptoms including substance abuse in the community,” Meer said.

“I am incredibly excited to join Sunrise Collaborative to bring further resources and support to the Warren community,” King said. “I think we are going to make a great team providing those in need with well-rounded therapeutic care. Working within my home community and helping people feel supported and cared about has been a goal of mine. Getting to do it along side the Sunrise team just goes beyond the goal!”

The credentialing process has started and as soon as the insurance companies approve the providers, Sunrise Collaborative will began accepting new patients and scheduling evaluations.
