Representatives from Northwest Bank, Jamestown, N.Y., city officials and employees of the former Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena in Jamestown gathered last week for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the newly-branded Northwest Arena.

Craig Hinderleider, general manager for the arena, kicked off the ceremony with opening remarks and to comment on positive changes in the arena since it first opened its doors nearly 15 years ago.

“We’re bringing in a wider variety of events to help bring more people to downtown Jamestown,” he said. “We’re grateful for Northwest’s commitment to the arena and community of Jamestown.”

In addition to a new name, Northwest is planning for a large digital sign on the front of the building that will be used to market events at the arena and showcase local sponsors and community organizations.
