New Medical Oncologist joins staff at WGH Cancer Care Center

Medical Oncologist/Hematologist, David P. Chernicoff, DO has joined the Medical Staff of Warren General Hospital to work in the Cancer Center.

Dr. Chernicoff, of Harrisburg, PA most recently practiced at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. He said, “The community of Warren and joining the excellent staff and cancer center physicians was very attractive to me in becoming a part of this world-class cancer center. I am looking forward to providing close and personal cancer care to the Warren county and NW PA cancer patients that I am privileged to care for.”

Dr. Chernicoff graduated from University of Rochester, Rochester, N.Y. and he completed his medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He went on to residency at Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, PA. He had a Clinical Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology- Department of Internal Medicine, at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. Also Dr. Chernicoff had an internship at Rocky Mountain Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
