Northwest Savings appoints 3

Thomas Hershelman has been named vice president, Commercial Lending, Erie Region of Northwest Bank. Stephen Carman, senior vice president, Commercial Lending, made the announcement.

Hershelman will be responsible for business development, extending client relationships and serving customers throughout Crawford and Erie counties. He will be based out of the Northwest office at 800 State Street in Erie.

He has more than 35 years experience in banking and financial services, most recently as a vice president of business banking for PNC Bank in Meadville.

Hershelman received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Waynesburg College.

He is a member of the Conneaut Lake Sportsman club. He is the son of Theresa and the late Harold Hershelman of Meadville. He has two children: Kaylyn and Wesley. He resides in Conneaut Lake.

Anita Marie Kuchcinski has been named vice president, Commercial Lending, Erie Region of Northwest Bank. Stephen Carman, senior vice president, Commercial Lending, made the announcement.

Kuchcinski will be responsible for business development, extending client relationships and serving customers throughout the Erie region. She will be located at the Northwest office at 800 State Street in Erie.

She has more than 12 years experience in banking and financial services, most recently working as a commercial banking relationship manager for First National Bank of Pennsylvania in Erie.

Kuchcinski received her bachelor’s degree in accounting and her MBA in management, both from Seton Hill University. She is also a 2011 graduate of Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s Commercial Lending School.

She is on the Erie Industrial Development Corporation board, a member of the Athena PowerLink Governing Body, an Erie Ambassador and Trustee of the American Cancer Society Annual Golf Event in Erie.

She is the daughter of Wally and Sue Fox of Cooperstown, Pa. She resides in Erie with her husband, Jeff.

Lisa M. Sano has been named corporate assistant vice president, branch operations manager of Northwest Bank. Melody Schott, corporate vice president, delivery channels manager, made the announcement.

Sano will work with region management and corporate teams to ensure accuracy and efficiencies in the branches as it pertains to day-to day-operations. She will oversee delivery of new products and services, act as liaison between divisions and work with the bank’s Education and Training Department to coordinate training, monitor operational policies and procedures.

She joined Northwest in 2002 as summer help and became full time in 2003 as a management trainee. She has 10 years of experience that varies from working as a personal banker and assistant manager to serving as a regional operations officer for the Pittsburgh area.

She is a graduate of Grove City College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business economics. She completed the Duquesne University Emerging Leaders Program in 2007 and is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PBA) School of Banking and a 2012 graduate of PBA’s Advanced School of Banking.

Sano is involved in her church and helps with fundraising for the National MS Society and Humane Society. She is the daughter of Duane and Donna Vicini of Russell. She resides in Russell with her husband, Mark, and daughter, Ellie (3).
