Northwest Savings names Frantz professional development officer

Cameron L. Frantz has been named professional development officer of Northwest Savings Bank, according to Julia McTavish, executive vice president, human resources, who made the announcement.

Frantz will be responsible for the design and implementation of professional development and training plans for employees of the bank. She will work with managers of Northwest’s business divisions to uncover needs, provide direction and guide employee development.

Frantz joins Northwest from the YMCA of Centre County, where she served as director of community outreach since 2005. While employed at the YMCA, she was active in many National Health and Wellness Initiatives working with a range of community members such as military families, seniors, teens, special needs and at-risk youth.

She is a certified SPARK instructor, which is a research-based, public health organization dedicated to creating, implementing, and evaluating programs that promote lifelong wellness.

Frantz received her master’s degree in organizational management and leadership from Springfield College in Springfield, Mass., and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.

She served as a member of the PA Alliance from 2013-2014 and on the board of Centre County Communities that Care from 2009-2014. She is an authorized facilitator for Darkness to Light, a nonprofit with the mission to reduce the incidence of child sexual abuse through public awareness and education.
