After a quiet Thanksgiving weekend, Warren County’s COVID numbers rebounded in a big way.

There were six new cases reported for Thanksgiving Day, then nine Friday, one Saturday, and none on Sunday. The figures for Monday, released Tuesday, show 87 new cases, bringing the county’s total to 5,097.

A total of 87 represents the highest single-day increase, easily topping the 76 reported on Dec. 22.

Another death was also added to the county’s totals on Tuesday, bringing that number to 152.
