The surge of COVID cases in Warren County continues.
According to the statistics released Thursday by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, there were 71 new cases of COVID-19 in the county on Wednesday.
That is one of the highest single-day totals yet. There were three days with at least 70 new cases between Dec. 16 and 21, including 78 on Dec. 19 - the single-day high for the county. The next highest single-day was Oct. 19, when the department reported 67 new cases.
There were also three more COVID-related deaths reported in the county on Thursday, bringing the pandemic toll to 135.
